Mossfennick Dew Observatory
The Mossfennick Dew Observatory is a small research station on the north-facing slope of the Stirrenfold Valley. For more than a century it has studied the mosses of the valley floor and the dew they gather, from a stone building with a glass roof and five terraces cut into the hillside below it.
The observatory keeps a living collection of mosses, a herbarium of dried specimens, and a daily dew log that has not missed a morning since the observatory opened. Its terraces are open to visitors on most days of the year.
